Not that hard actually. You can get an app or malware installed on your computer, even when you are unaware of if, and it will let you access the camera via a phone or another computer. These apps are freely available everywhere.

To find out if you have such a program installed without your knowledge, you can install Spybot S&D or another Malware detection program.

I didn't cover my webcam lens, just disabled it

How the fuck do people remotely access a webcam?

Dont know who fell for it or didn't, but someone out there must be paying up. If nobody would pay, then it wouldn't be done.

Come to think about it, then the Callieri deal must have been an e-mail scam somehow. Only way to explain that he kept playing.

You are right Johnson. Its a scam and incidently I received such an e-mail, with a surge of spam mail. Got up to 50 ea per day.

Anyway, for this and other reason I black out my webcam with tape, unless I know I will use it.

Just not the same spanking the monkey wearing a balaclava.

Re: Dodgy Internet threatening emails
They don't really have a vid of you, you know. I've already explained how this scam works.

Re: Dodgy Internet threatening emails
Got this as well last week. Telling me basically that I had been watching porn and that they had a keyboard logging software installed secretly on my computer. Gave me a Bitcoin account and told me that if I did not pay them 7000 USD in Bitcoins they would release a video of me spanking the monkey to weird porn. An old password was included as a proof, but not the video or the supposed contact list and also the mail account it was send to had a very different password.
Anyway, I dont have 7000USD to spare to pay to a stranger sending me e-mails, so deleted it. Not sure how long they would wait for me to pay up, but none have said they have received a video of me... Or maybe people are just getting tired of my self promoting videos and dont take notice anymore.
Should it be real, then I would be a bit upset, but then what can you do. Its not like its uncommon to masturbate.

However with that said, this scam has been done! I saw a documentary of a young boy who was extorted. Couldnt pay or wouldnt so ended up on the net. Just be advised if you ever do receive such a video and you show it to others, then it is a criminal offence if it is done without consent. So all may have seen you, but you can press charges if they tell about it.

Best way to avoid this put black tape over your webcam lens. Alternatively dont watch porn, but... Thats not gonna happen.

Incidently I remember Mark Zuckerberg showing his office in an interview and he had his camera lens covered with black tape. Makes you think what is going on in Facebook HQ.

Re: Dodgy Internet threatening emails
Seems to be the latest scam, got it a few times, the first time it made me sit up an take notice for a moment, as they had a password i use, if you do a search its quite common, all the threatening emails have similar wording.

Data breaches from dodgy sites or those that have been hacked or closed down, even facebook has been breached are the source for them getting your password, its then sold on the dark web.

Dont use that password they mentioned anymore and changed it for any other site i used it for as well.

Some dodgy cunts out there thats for sure, no doubt a few get paranoid and cough up.

The exile - you know the rules too, I'll get a ban if I send a link! But I reckon you've probably knocked one out on the same site 😂

Re: Dodgy Internet threatening emails
had the exact same thing about 4 weeks ago, the only thing I could remember was downloading an camera app and for some reason it wanted access to my contacts and like an idiot I agreed

so they had my e-mail, phone number and access to my contacts... within a week I get the e-mail with the correct last 4 digits to my number

I replied with 'go on then I'm not shy'

to cut a long story short I called their bluff and haven't heard anything since... I did however reset my phone to factory settings and then only reloaded apps I absolutely trust

Beat them at their own game by sending a video of you wanking to porn to all your contacts, thus stealing their thunder and nullifying their threat.

Haveibeenpwned.com

If you put your email address in here, it’ll tell you if and how your details have been compromised.

Change your passwords if you have been comp’d, but you can expect one of those emails if your details and password are out there.

The last four digits of your phone number are 1026.*

Send money now or else.

*10000-1 against getting this right,

Automates process, sends to 200000 addresses, gets several phone numbers right, including two mugs.

Blackmails them forever

I don't think WHO rates as porn, and doubt anyone posts while wanking.

Except for bobbysleftfoot, possibly...
